• Ruscombe & Whiteshill Village shop opened on Saturday 24th October 1998 and was the third community shop to be opened in Gloucestershire.  This followed the closure of the last grocery store in the village.
• The shop was funded by selling shares to members of the community, which raised £6,000 (a lot of money in 1998), plus some small grants. In the photos show above (from left to right):

• The building being placed onto its concrete pillars
• The work begins on the inside to make the shop habitable
• New kitchen and redecoration of the Cafe area
• New replacement windows

At our 27th  Annual General Meeting on 3rd March 2025 the following members were elected and former members re-elected:
